DOCUMENTARY

Mutiny Media produces documentary films for the television and theatrical environments. The company recently completed TV hour length documentary, Breaking the News.

In 2005 Mutiny Media produced feature documentary RASH, the first Australian feature documentary about the then much despised underground but thriving street art scene. Later that year RASH won the Best Australian Documentary prize at the Film Critics Circle of Australia. Mutiny Media was awarded Best Documentary & Melbourne and Sydney audience awards Music and Film Independent Artists (MAFIA) Film Festival in 2004. Read more about our short street art documentaries.

INTERACTIVE

At Mutiny Media we develop and produce digital stories for multiple media platforms.

Mutiny Media produced its first online interactive story Scales in 1998. Scales is an experimental sci-fi detective drama. The player goes through surveillance footage to investigate a double-dealing plot to steal sensitive DNA samples involved in human cloning.

Mutiny Media also develops, designs and animates online interactives for clients which include Visy Recycling, Melbourne Grand Prix and online educational materials for Swinburne University.

Audiences are now engaging with a variety of story formats across a range of environments and contributing back to the story outcomes. We have interactive documentary projects at various stages of development and are excited to offer these transmedia story experiences for an engaged audience.

COMMISSIONED WORK

Mutiny Media work with community groups, local councils, arts institutions and business to produce compelling short video productions, photography, websites and social media. Our clients include National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne City Council, City of Yarra, Place Gallery.

EXHIBITIONS and EVENTS

Mutiny Media takes an active interest in the film industries of our Asia Pacific region. See here the latest in a series of exhibitions of cinema advertising from Indonesia. Hand painted signage is a dying art form and these exhibitions celebrate Indonesian billboard art and the artists who interpret film-marketing graphics from all over the world onto canvas banners.
